THE KOSHER BY DESIGN CHRONOLOGY BY SUSIE FISHBEIN
The Kosher by Design cookbook series began in 2003 with a modest aspiration: to bring a sense of elegance and beauty to kosher cooking, from creative variations on holiday and everyday menus to innovative table settings and floral arrangements. Looking back, I would never have imagined that first my cookbook would “go viral,” with well over 100,000 copies sold. Kosher by Design caught the attention of national and international media, generating a swelling momentum that has kept me out and about, performing cooking demos, attending book signings, hosting workshops, and giving interviews at least once a week for the last 700 weeks.
Close to 500,000 cookbooks later, we present the ninth and final book in the series as Kosher by Design Brings It Home. In retrospect, my travels have inspired sweeping changes in my own kitchen, particularly from the savory influences of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern chefs I’ve met, whose unique approaches to spicing can transform an unassuming dish into an international experience.
To all the great chefs, foodies, bloggers, writers, testers, readers, fans, and of course my team members, who’ve contributed to this collective upgrade, I offer humble thanks, with blessings for good health and joyful cooking always.
